ANN NICHOLSON BROWN WAS BORN IN 1960 AND GREW UP IN UPPER SADDLE RIVER, NJ. AFTER GRADUATING FROM WHEATON COLLEGE IN MASSACHUSETTS WITH A JUNIOR YEAR AT WILLIAMS COLLEGE, SHE RECEIVED HER BA IN ART HISTORY AND ENGLISH LITERATURE. AFTER WORKING AT CONDE NAST PUBLISHING FOR A YEAR, SHE MOVED TO NEW YORK CITY IN 1982 AND BEGAN HER CAREER IN PUBLIC RELATIONS IN THE FASHION INDUSTRY. 

IN 1990, NICHOLSON BROWN MOVED TO CONNECTICUT WITH HER HUSBAND, AND WHILE RAISING THEIR TWO CHILDREN, WORKED IN DESIGN AND TAUGHT ART TO GRADE SCHOOL CHILDREN. DEDICATED TO PURSUING A CREATIVE PATH, SHE ATTENDED CLASSES AT SILVERMINE SCHOOL OF ART AND STUDIED WITH ARTIST MINDY GREEN IN ROWAYTON, CT FOR SIX YEARS. PARTICIPATING IN BOTH SOLO AND GROUP PHOTOGRAPHY SHOWS, NICHOLSON BROWN IS CURRENTLY A MEMBER OF SANDI HABER FIFIELD'S PHOTOGRAPHY WORKSHOP IN NEW YORK CITY.
